Gurdurr

Gurdurr is a Fighting-type that carries a steel beam — not as a weapon, but because it always carries a steel beam. The beam is simply part of how Gurdurr operates. It uses the beam for exercise, as a balance weight, as a tool. Gurdurr and the beam are a unit.

Role in Pokopia

Gurdurr appears near the Exercise Resting Spot alongside other Fighting-types. It occupies a specific niche there: the construction worker energy, the sense of a Pokémon that is doing labor rather than training for competition. Near Workbenches and in areas of active construction, Gurdurr's presence feels thematically apt. The island is being built; Gurdurr brings its beam.

Pokémon Notes

Fighting-type from Generation V, middle evolution of Timburr into Conkeldurr. The Timburr line's gimmick — carrying progressively larger pieces of construction material through each evolutionary stage — is one of Generation V's more literal character concepts. Both Timburr and Gurdurr appear on this island.
