Magnemite

Magnemite is a sphere of metal with two horseshoe magnets attached and a single eye at the center. It floats using electromagnetic fields rather than wings or legs, emits radio waves, and draws small metal objects into its orbit. Its Electric/Steel typing is reflected precisely in its design: it's not a creature that has electricity, it's a creature that is electromagnetic.

Role in Pokopia

Magnemite appears in areas with exposed metallic materials — rocky terrain, near Workbenches and crafted metal items, in zones where stone and metal are present. They drift through these areas slowly, occasionally picking up small metal debris and incorporating it into their orbit. Their presence near construction areas means they occasionally carry off small nails and fittings, which is more charming than disruptive.

Pokémon Notes

Electric/Steel-type from Generation I. One of the original inorganic Pokémon — designed to look mechanical rather than biological from the start, before the Steel type existed to formalize that category. Evolves into Magneton and then Magnezone.
