Raikou

Raikou is one of the three Legendary Beasts of Johto — a thundercloud made flesh, a being of pure electric speed that is said to have descended from the sky and embody the thunderclap. Its presence on this island is not incidental. Legendary Pokémon don't appear in failing ecosystems.

Role in Pokopia

Raikou is one of the last Pokémon to appear on the island, arriving only after the ecosystem has reached a very high level of health across multiple biomes. It does not stay in one place — Raikou moves across the island rapidly, following the electrical currents that run through a healthy, biologically active environment. Spotting Raikou is brief and electric, and the encounter feels proportionate to what you've built.

Pokémon Notes

Electric-type Legendary from Generation II. One of the three beasts that fled from Ecruteak City's Brass Tower fire in the Pokémon lore, resurrected by Ho-Oh. In the games, Raikou was a roaming Legendary — appearing randomly anywhere in the region and fleeing on contact. That quality of unexpectedness carries into Pokopia's design.
