Zorua
Zorua is a Dark-type trickster — it disguises itself as other people or Pokémon to avoid threats and, sometimes, apparently just because it can. Small, fox-like, with a red-tipped tuft and mischievous eyes, it is the first Pokémon in a long time that you can't be entirely sure you're seeing clearly.
Role in Pokopia
Zorua appears in forested, semi-hidden areas — places with natural cover and complexity. They're harder to approach than most Pokémon, requiring patience and indirect attention. Players who try to walk directly toward a Zorua often find it's already moved. The friendship process with Zorua is deliberately slower than with most species, and the payoff is proportionate.
Pokémon Notes
Dark-type from Generation V (Unova), counterpart to Zoroark. The Illusion ability is Zorua and Zoroark's signature — in battle, they appear as the last Pokémon in the party. In Pokopia, the illusion aspect is softer: you're not fooled exactly, but you're never quite certain Zorua is where it appears to be.
