Wooden Steps

🎒

Wooden Steps are a short timber staircase — typically two or three risers — designed to bridge elevation changes between a raised platform and the ground below. Crafted from Small Logs, they are a structural companion to Wooden Flooring rather than a standalone decorative item: their primary purpose is enabling the elevated decks and platforms that give outdoor habitats vertical interest and spatial layering. Without Wooden Steps as an access point, a raised Wooden Flooring platform becomes an isolated feature; with them, it becomes a destination.

Pokémon freely navigate Wooden Steps in their idle roaming, and species with high curiosity ratings will often climb a set of steps and explore the elevated area above before descending again — creating natural circulation patterns that make a multi-level outdoor habitat feel genuinely alive. Wooden Steps pair with Bridge Planks for more substantial elevation or spanning needs, and their modest material cost means they are worth placing generously whenever a raised-deck composition is underway.
