Bridge Planks
Bridge Planks are a span of heavy timber boards laid across a gap, designed to connect two elevated surfaces or cross a water feature, depression, or simply a defined break in the ground plane. Crafted from Small Logs, they contribute to the Flooring sub-score and function as a uniquely narrative structural element — a bridge implies distance, separation, and the deliberate act of crossing, giving outdoor environments a sense of scale and geography that flat flooring alone cannot provide. Even a short Bridge Planks span between two Stone Tiling areas creates the feeling that something has been crossed.
Water-type Pokémon that spend time in adjacent water features will occasionally emerge onto Bridge Planks in idle animations — Psyduck and Wooper have both been photographed sitting in the middle of a bridge span apparently contemplating the water below. Bridge Planks work especially well over a Water Basin arrangement, or spanning two raised Wooden Flooring platforms across a gap filled with Garden Flowers. The combination of elevation, crossing, and botanical depth is one of the most visually satisfying outdoor compositions available.
