Vine Rope

🪵

Harvested from the climbing vines that drape across trees and cliff faces throughout Pokopia's biomes, Vine Rope is the island's primary structural binding material. It is flexible, surprisingly strong, and naturally resistant to the moisture and temperature fluctuations of an island environment — properties that make it indispensable for lashing frameworks together, suspending items, and reinforcing any structure with multiple joined components. Where nails and screws would be required in conventional construction, Vine Rope does the job on Pokopia.

Cut is the move used to harvest Vine Rope from its source plants, and it drops reliably from the vine clusters found in wooded and cliff-adjacent areas. Its elasticity — a slight give under tension that prevents snap failure — is noted in the crafting descriptions of several items that call for it. Players building anything with bridging, suspension, or reinforcement requirements will find Vine Rope appearing consistently in the materials list alongside Lumber and Stone.
