Small Log

A Small Log is a section of tree trunk — substantial enough to serve as furniture lumber, light enough to carry without a cart. They're the primary wood material in Pokopia, used in everything from tables and chairs to storage containers. If Stone is the foundation, Small Logs are the walls.

How to Obtain

Small Logs drop from trees cleared with the Cut move. Larger trees tend to yield more logs per clearing, and certain overgrown areas — particularly those that have been untouched for the longest — drop them in the highest quantities. Systematically clearing blocked areas with Scyther's Cut is the most efficient way to stockpile.

Crafting Uses

Small Logs appear in four recipes: the Log Table, Log Chair, and Storage Box each require one, while the Storage Box requires one as well. The Log Table and Log Chair together form a natural furniture set — placed near the Campfire and Chef Dente, they create a proper communal dining area that several island characters will actually gather around. The Storage Box solves inventory pressure as your materials collection grows.
