Chef Dente

Chef Dente is a Greedent who uses their species' signature body-storage ability not for berries, as nature intended, but for kitchen tools: spatulas, whisks, ladles, and at least one implement that no one has quite been able to identify. Dente cooks for everyone on the island, and their food is, by unanimous agreement, excellent.

The Island's Cook

Dente is the social hub of the island in the way that a good kitchen often is. Pokémon who might not otherwise congregate find themselves near wherever Dente is cooking. The Campfire item, one of the first craftables available, becomes much more meaningful once you understand that Dente uses it — a campfire in Pokopia isn't just decoration, it's an invitation.

Dente's requests tend to involve acquiring materials or crafting furniture that serves culinary or social purposes. A Log Table isn't just functional; placed near Dente's usual spot, it becomes a dining surface. Context transforms utility.

Species Notes

Greedent is a Normal-type introduced in Sword and Shield, known for hoarding berries in their plush, capacious tails and body. The comedy of Dente repurposing this for professional cookware is intentional — and, in a Pokémon-logic sense, completely sensible. A Greedent who has renounced berry-hoarding in favor of tool-hoarding is still, fundamentally, a Greedent.
