The Storage Box is a practical necessity that Pokopia presents as craftable furniture rather than a menu option, which is the kind of design choice that reveals a lot about the game's character. You don't just unlock storage; you build it, place it somewhere, and it becomes part of the world. A Storage Box is a thing that exists in the island, not just a UI panel.

Crafting

Recipe: 1× Small Log. Requires a Workbench. Small Logs are abundant once Cut is unlocked, making the Storage Box one of the cheaper utility items. The real cost is having a Workbench first — which requires 2× Stone and Rock Smash — but by the time you have a Workbench, you're probably already itching for somewhere to put things.

Practical Notes

Placing Storage Boxes in different biome areas lets you cache materials near where you'll use them rather than carrying everything back to a central location. As the island expands and different biomes require different materials, distributed storage becomes a meaningful quality-of-life consideration. Treat them like outposts.
