Water Basin

The Water Basin is a wide, shallow stone vessel, permanently filled with clear still water that reflects the sky above. Crafted from Stone, it contributes to the Water sub-score and serves as the centrepiece of a hot-spring, garden fountain, or ritual-bath aesthetic depending on what surrounds it. On its own it reads as a simple decorative basin or birdbath; paired with a Hot-Spring Spout it becomes a functioning heated pool feature that significantly expands the range of Pokémon your habitat can attract.

Water-type Pokémon in particular treat the Water Basin as a gathering point — Psyduck, Seel, Wooper, and Lotad have all been observed sitting in or around basins for extended idle periods. Small Pokémon with fastidious grooming habits also use them as bathing spots in idle animations. For island builders aiming at a Japanese-garden or resort-spa aesthetic, the Water Basin paired with Stepping Stones and a Mushroom Lamp creates one of the most cohesive and Pokémon-attractive outdoor compositions available from mid-game materials.
