Axew

On Pokopia Island it gravitates toward Rustic and Log-aesthetic environments where there are plenty of natural materials to examine, and it has a particular fondness for the Workbench area, where the sound and smell of active crafting apparently appeals to its industrious temperament.. Axew is a Dragon-type Pokémon with two prominent tusks that it uses to mark territory, crush berries, and practice the horn-clashing that will define its battles as a fully grown Haxorus. Its small size belies a fierce competitive energy — Axew is rarely still, constantly testing its tusks against logs, stones, and any hard surface it finds

Dragonite has been observed adopting a watchful, almost mentoring posture around Axew, apparently recognising it as a future peer.. Axew is part of the Axew-Fraxure-Haxorus evolutionary line and is the most commonly seen of the three on the island. Its idle animation includes a rapid series of tusk-swings against whatever hard surface is nearest, followed by a self-satisfied snort and a brief look around as if daring anyone to comment. Players who consistently provide Axew with new log or stone items to investigate will find it visits with increasing frequency
