Gastrodon

Gastrodon is a Water- and Ground-type Pokemon that exists in two regional colour forms, East Sea pink-and-brown and West Sea blue-and-green, both equally gelatinous and equally content to sit in shallow water for as long as circumstances allow. It is one of the most genuinely unhurried Pokemon on the island, an ambassador for a philosophical approach to existence that Mosslax would describe as aspirational.

Settlers who build tranquil, water-rich environments will find Gastrodon a characterful and deeply settled addition to the ecological community of their island.. On Pokopia Island, Gastrodon is reliably found in water-adjacent environments with strong Water and Nature sub-scores. Shallow Ponds, Beach-edge installations, Tide Pool garden features, and any soft, water-proximate spaces give it the combination of moisture and ease it needs. Mosslax is frequently found resting within a few metres of a Gastrodon, and the two seem to have reached a mutual understanding regarding the optimal pace of an afternoon
