Geodude

Geodude is a Rock- and Ground-type Pokemon that is, essentially, a boulder with arms and a face, an image that raises more ontological questions than it answers. Slow, sturdy, and uncomplicated, Geodude is among the most straightforward Pokemon on the island, a creature whose entire personality can be summarised as: rock, arms, neutral expression, occasional frowning.

Tinkmaster has a particular fondness for Geodude, citing it as living proof that form and function can be completely unified, though Professor Tangrowth notes this might be the most generous possible interpretation of standing still while looking like a rock.. On Pokopia Island, Geodude is one of the most accessible Rock-type visitors, drawn to environments with modest Structure and Nature sub-scores that suggest the beginnings of a solid, material-focused island. Stone Paths, Rock Gardens, Boulder features, and any area that gives it something hard to resemble or rest against suits it perfectly. It is occasionally mistaken for an actual decorative boulder, a confusion it does not appear to find offensive
