Pidgeot
Pidgeot is the mature form of the Pidgey line — a large Normal/Flying-type with streamlined flight feathers and the confident bearing of something that has spent years mastering the sky above this particular piece of land. It can reach speeds of Mach 2 in a dive, though it doesn't need to on an island this size.
Role in Pokopia
Pidgeot appears once the island has enough aerial life to make the sky feel inhabited. It circles high overhead during the day, descending in the late afternoon to roost in taller trees. Its presence signals a certain maturity in the island's avian ecosystem — Pidgey are everywhere early, but Pidgeot suggests the island has had enough time to grow something beyond fledglings.
Pokémon Notes
Normal/Flying-type from Generation I, final evolution of Pidgey. Pidgeot has a Mega Evolution in the mainline games, but in Pokopia it simply occupies its standard form — large, competent, an apex representative of the island's non-legendary aerial population.
