Pikachu

Pikachu needs no introduction, but Pokopia's take on it is worth noting: this isn't the chosen hero's partner, the mascot, the center of the story. This Pikachu is just a Pikachu — a small Electric-type who likes the island and has opinions about where to sit. The fact that it also happens to be the most famous Pokémon alive is incidental.

Role in Pokopia

Pikachu appears in grassy, open areas once the island's electrical atmosphere has been established — which happens gradually as Electric-type Pokémon return and the island's ecosystem recovers. Pikachu doesn't teach a utility move but contributes to the ambient energy of the island, and some character interactions are only triggered in areas where Pikachu have settled.

Relationship to Peakychu

Peakychu, one of the island's named character-Pokémon, is a unique pale Pikachu. The coexistence of Peakychu and standard Pikachu on the same island creates an interesting contrast: the named character with their quiet mystery, and the ordinary species going about ordinary Pikachu business. Peakychu's unusual appearance is more striking against that normal backdrop.
