Welcome to the Pokémon Pokopia Wiki

The comprehensive community-driven resource for Pokémon Pokopia, the Pokémon series' first life simulation game. Developed by Game Freak and Koei Tecmo's Omega Force and published by Nintendo and The Pokémon Company, Pokémon Pokopia is a Nintendo Switch 2 exclusive in which players take on the role of a Ditto rebuilding a desolate world into a thriving Pokémon paradise.

Whether you're searching for habitat requirements, crafting recipes, move unlock guides, or Pokémon friendship mechanics, this wiki is your go-to reference for everything Pokopia.

About the Game

In Pokémon Pokopia, players control a Ditto who has taken on a human form after waking to find that humanity has vanished from the Pokémon world. Guided by the ever-helpful Professor Tangrowth, Ditto sets out to restore the barren landscape — one habitat at a time.

The core gameplay loop revolves around crafting, building, and terraforming environments to attract Pokémon. Each biome — from dried-out grasslands to flooded beachfronts — presents unique restoration challenges. As Ditto creates habitats that meet specific conditions, Pokémon will move in, and many of them will teach Ditto new moves. These moves are used not for battle, but as environmental tools: Leafage encourages grass to grow, Water Gun revitalizes soil and plant life, and Rock Smash breaks apart terrain blocks for resources.

Pokémon Pokopia features a real-time day/night cycle, dynamic weather systems, an environment level progression system tied to Pokémon happiness, a deep crafting and furniture system, farming, mining, and robust multiplayer supporting up to four players locally and online. The game's zones are inspired by the Kanto region, and the world is packed with references to the broader Pokémon franchise spanning games, anime, and the trading card game.
