Centennial Puzzle
Centennial Puzzle is a common relic that draws 3 cards the first time you lose HP in each combat. Because losing HP is common — whether from enemy attacks, self-damage cards, or other sources — this effectively guarantees an extra 3 cards drawn per fight in most circumstances. The draw happens once per combat only, so it is a one-time burst of card advantage rather than a recurring effect.
The relic is broadly strong across all builds since card draw is universally valuable. It pairs exceptionally well with self-damage cards (like Offering or Brutality) that let you trigger the draw immediately at the start of a fight on your own terms, rather than waiting to be hit. Decks that deliberately take damage — the Ironclad's self-damage archetype in particular — can reliably activate Centennial Puzzle on turn 1. Its main downside is that it does nothing in combats where you take no damage at all, which can happen at very high skill levels or with certain defensive builds.
