Mummified Hand

Mummified Hand is an uncommon relic that makes a random card in your hand cost 0 whenever you play a Power card. The cost reduction applies for the rest of the current turn, allowing you to potentially play an expensive card for free after using a Power. Only one card is affected at random each time a Power is played.

The relic is strongest in Power-heavy decks that play multiple Powers per turn, since each Power played makes another random card free. In Defect builds with many Power cards, or Watcher builds with Establishment (which reduces Power costs), Mummified Hand can chain together sequences of free expensive cards. It also synergizes with Letter Opener by generating cheap-card turns. The randomness of which card becomes free is the main limitation — in a diverse hand, the free card may not always be the one you most want, but in a focused deck with intentional card selection the bonus is reliably valuable.
