Prismatic Shard

Prismatic Shard is a shop relic purchasable from the in-game merchant. After acquiring it, card rewards after combat now include cards from all four characters rather than just your current character. This means Ironclad, Silent, Defect, and Watcher cards can all appear as combat reward options. It can be purchased from shops found throughout the Spire.

Prismatic Shard dramatically expands the card pool you can access, opening up cross-character synergies that are otherwise impossible. Each character has unique cards that can complement other characters' strategies — for example, a Defect player might pick up Ironclad powers that provide Strength, or a Silent player might obtain Defect orb-channeling cards. The relic is strongest on flexible builds that can integrate off-class cards, and on runs where your own character's card pool has been disappointing. It is weakest on highly specialized builds that only want specific on-class cards and where seeing other characters' cards just adds noise to reward screens. Prismatic Shard is a high-ceiling option that can create novel powerful builds but requires adaptability to make full use of.
