Bellossom
Bellossom is what Oddish becomes via Sun Stone evolution — a pure Grass-type that has shed the Poison typing entirely, replacing Vileplume's large pollen-spreading cap with two neat hibiscus flowers and a grass-skirt that it dances in sunlight. The transformation from nocturnal root-wanderer to daylight dancer is one of Pokémon's more interesting evolutionary divergences.
Role in Pokopia
Bellossom appears in well-lit, flower-rich habitats — particularly Hydrated Flower Beds in full sunlight. They dance when sunlight hits them directly, a behavior that seems involuntary rather than performative. The island's flower areas in early morning and late afternoon, when the light hits at low angles, will sometimes have multiple Bellossom moving through the same space simultaneously.
Pokémon Notes
Grass-type from Generation II. Bellossom was one of the first examples of an evolution that removes a typing rather than adding or keeping it — Gloom is Grass/Poison; Bellossom is pure Grass. The in-world explanation is that the Sun Stone purifies the toxins from the Oddish line. In Pokopia, both Oddish (nocturnal) and Bellossom (daylight) appear as expressions of the same lineage in different conditions.
