Heracross

Heracross is a large Bug/Fighting-type beetle with a horn that can lift 100 times its own weight. It uses the horn to flip other Pokémon and access tree sap. Heracross loves sap, specifically — it will push Snorlax out of the way to get at a tree's sap tap, which says something either about Heracross's strength or its priorities.

Role in Pokopia

Heracross appears in the island's forested areas once there are established trees old enough to produce sap. They're large enough to be visible from a distance and move through the canopy with controlled power. Heracross has no direct interaction with the Mosslax character (despite the sap-vs-Snorlax lore) — that confrontation remains theoretical.

Pokémon Notes

Bug/Fighting-type from Generation II. Heracross has a Mega Evolution in the mainline games. It appeared prominently as Ash's Pokémon in the Johto anime arc, becoming one of his more personality-rich companions. The image of a beetle strong enough to move a Snorlax is one of Pokémon's more memorable pieces of ecological lore.
