Jigglypuff
Jigglypuff is a Normal/Fairy-type with the round shape of a balloon, a microphone it considers essential equipment, and a song that puts everyone within earshot to sleep. The sleeping thing is not intentional. The anger at finding a slumbering audience is entirely intentional, and expressed with a marker on any available surface.
Role in Pokopia
Jigglypuff appears in the vicinity of DJ Rotom, perhaps drawn by the music, perhaps in competition with it. The dynamic between a Rotom who plays prepared sets and a Jigglypuff who insists on performing live is something players can witness directly if they're in the right place at the right time. Jigglypuff is also attracted to Pretty Flower Beds — the aesthetic sensibility matches.
Pokémon Notes
Original Generation I Normal-type (reclassified as Normal/Fairy in Generation VI). One of the most consistently present Pokémon in the anime's early years, famous for showing up, singing, and then drawing on the sleeping audience's faces. Pokopia's island provides it a new and largely unsuspecting audience.
