Pretty Flower Bed

A Pretty Flower Bed is a curated arrangement of flowering plants — not wild growth, but intentionally cultivated color. Creating one signals a shift in the island's restoration from purely functional to genuinely aesthetic, and the Pokémon who favor it seem to respond to that intention.

Attracted Pokémon

Fairy-types and certain Psychic-types who respond to beauty in the environment are particularly drawn to flower beds. Sylveon, Jigglypuff, and similarly aesthetically inclined Pokémon show up here in ways they don't in standard Tall Grass. Smearguru also finds flower beds inspiring, which has downstream effects on their quest offerings.

How to Create

Pretty Flower Beds require existing vegetation — seeds planted through Leafage — plus water from Water Gun to encourage flowering. The combination of Leafage and Water Gun in the same area produces flowers rather than plain grass. This makes Pretty Flower Beds one of the earlier incentives to unlock both Bulbasaur and Squirtle's moves.
