Squirtle
Squirtle is the third of the Kanto starters in Pokopia and the one most directly tied to the island's water restoration. Its hard shell makes it look armored and defensive, but in practice Squirtle is curious and approachable — and the move it teaches, Water Gun, is one of the most useful tools in the game.
Role in Pokopia
Squirtle teaches Water Gun. This matters enormously: Water Gun restores dried plants, waters habitats, and is required to maintain the Hydrated Flower Bed. It's also the move that allows Ditto to interact with water terrain features, reviving streams and ponds that have dried up over years of island neglect. Squirtle is modest but essential.
Finding Squirtle
Squirtle appears near water sources, even partially dried ones. If there's a cracked riverbed or a silted pond in a biome, look for Squirtle nearby — they tend to stay close to water even when it's gone, as if waiting for it to return. Given what Water Gun can do, that patience is justified.
Pokémon Notes
Water-type Kanto starter, the smallest of the original three, and the one whose evolution line (Wartortle → Blastoise) gets the most overtly armored as it grows. Both Squirtle and Wartortle appear separately in Pokopia, which gives players the rare chance to observe the evolution line as coexisting island residents rather than as a progression unlock.
