Meowth

Its coin gleams brightest when its mood is at its most optimistic.. Meowth is a Normal-type Pokemon and one of the most recognisable faces in the Pokemon world, a cream-coloured feline with a gold coin embedded in its forehead and a deeply acquisitive relationship with anything that glitters. It is nocturnal by preference, wandering urban environments after dark in search of shiny objects to add to its personal collection, which it guards with a territorial intensity wildly disproportionate to the monetary value of most items involved. Meowth is streetwise, adaptable, and surprisingly expressive, capable of a vocal range that includes something approaching human speech in its Galarian form

Smearguru has painted Meowth's coin-counting behaviour as a recurring motif in several gallery pieces, describing it as the purest unironic celebration of material desire they have ever witnessed.. Meowth is drawn to Commerce and Domestic sub-scores on Pokopia Island, gravitating toward market districts, shop-lined streets, and well-appointed indoor spaces where interesting objects are likely to be found. Its attraction to shiny surfaces means Elegance scores also help: polished furniture, mirrored decor, and metallic architectural details draw Meowth as reliably as any explicit lure. Chef Dente keeps a small collection of decorative coins near the kitchen entrance as a goodwill gesture, finding that Meowth stationed nearby provides a surprisingly effective deterrent against food theft by other Pokemon
