Pichu
Pichu is the smallest, most energetic, and loudest thing on the island. It hasn't learned to control its own Electric-type ability yet, which means spending time near one involves occasional small shocks — but Pichu are so relentlessly cheerful about the whole situation that it's hard to hold against them.
Role in Pokopia
Pichu appears in areas with other small Pokémon — grassy habitats with good cover, near flower beds, in spots where Happiny and Minccino also congregate. They're a social presence more than a utility one, but an island with Pichu in it has a distinctly different atmosphere from one without. Their presence is often an indicator that an area has become genuinely welcoming.
Pokémon Notes
Pichu is the pre-evolution of Pikachu, introduced in Generation II. Unlike most baby Pokémon it evolves through friendship rather than level, which feels appropriate for Pokopia's relationship-driven design. Whether Pichu evolves into Pikachu over the course of the island's restoration is a detail the game leaves gently unanswered.
