Umbreon
Umbreon is Eevee evolved through nighttime happiness — a Dark-type with black fur and glowing gold rings that pulse in darkness. Where Espeon is the Eeveelution of calm daylight, Umbreon belongs to the island after dusk: cooler, quieter, the period when the island reveals a different population.
Role in Pokopia
Umbreon appears in the late evening and night, drawn to shadowed areas that have been restored without becoming overwhelmingly bright or active. Tree-Shaded Grass, Boulder-Shaded areas, and spots with limited artificial light are its preferred haunts. Players who explore the island at night — which has a distinct population of Pokémon from the daytime roster — will find Umbreon reliably in these spots.
Pokémon Notes
Dark-type Eeveelution from Generation II. Umbreon's design was initially controversial when Dark-types were introduced (the type was called 'Evil' in Japan, and players expected it to feel sinister). In practice, Umbreon is one of the gentler Pokémon in the franchise, which Pokopia embraces completely.
