Defend

Defend (Silent) is the green version of the universal starter skill: 1 Energy, 5 Block (8 upgraded). It functions identically to every other color's Defend — vanilla Block with no extra effects. The Silent has access to Survivor as a better defensive option right from the start, making green Defends among the first cards you want to remove from your deck.

Unlike the Ironclad, the Silent's defensive game plan leans heavily on evasion, shiv generation, and cards like Blur and Backflip rather than stacking Block. Keeping green Defends limits your cycling speed and dilutes your hand with low-value cards. Swap them out for more impactful options as soon as shop visits and card rewards allow.
