Darkstone Periapt

Darkstone Periapt is an uncommon relic that permanently raises your maximum HP by 6 every time you obtain a Curse. Because Curses come from many sources — events, Cursed Key, Calling Bell, and other mechanics — the relic can generate a substantial amount of bonus Max HP in runs that involve multiple Curses.

On its own, Darkstone Periapt turns the normally negative experience of getting Cursed into a free Max HP boost. It is most powerful when combined with relics or strategies that deliberately accumulate Curses, such as Cursed Key (which curses you every time you open a non-boss chest) or Calling Bell (which gives 3 relics and a Curse). The relic also pairs well with Blue Candle (which lets you spend 1 HP to exhaust Curses) and Du-Vu Doll (which gains Strength per Curse in deck), creating synergistic Curse-focused strategies.
