Cash Register

The Cash Register is a countertop mechanical till with a pop-out drawer and a display of round numbered keys, the definitive symbol of commerce and transaction. Crafted from Iron Ingots and Copper Ingots, it contributes to the Commerce sub-score of your environment, a metric that reflects how thoroughly the island has been set up as an economic space where things are made, sold, and exchanged. A Cash Register placed beside a Menu Board, Cart, or Wooden Crate turns any outdoor area into a convincing market or shop front, and the Commerce sub-score boost it provides attracts a specific cluster of Pokémon that prefer trading-post environments.

Meowth, the Sableye line, and other species associated with treasure and commerce are disproportionately drawn to Cash Register placements — Meowth in particular has been documented attempting to open the cash drawer repeatedly in idle animations, apparently convinced there is something valuable inside. The Cash Register pairs with a Glossy Awning overhead and Stone Tiling underfoot for a complete shopfront aesthetic, and combined with a Community Box suggests an island where formal commerce and informal gift-giving coexist as complementary rather than competing social systems.
