Cutting Board

The Cutting Board is a thick hardwood prep surface mounted on a stand, the essential workstation for any kitchen that processes raw ingredients before cooking. Crafted from Small Logs, it contributes to the Food sub-score and functions as the quiet, practical heart of an outdoor kitchen arrangement — the item that suggests active food preparation rather than simply heating. Placed between a Sink and a Frying Pan it creates a plausible left-to-right kitchen workflow: wash, chop, cook, and Chef Dente insists this spatial logic is not optional but mandatory for any serious culinary setup.

Pokémon with curiosity-driven foraging behaviours — Sneasel, Linoone, Furret — are drawn to food-preparation areas and will investigate Cutting Board placements with particular attention, occasionally pawing at the surface in a behaviour that suggests they're checking for scraps. The Cutting Board is one of the cheaper utility items to craft and delivers a reliable Food sub-score contribution that scales well when paired with multiple other kitchen items. It is particularly effective when placed under a Glossy Awning to suggest a covered prep station, completing the visual logic of an outdoor kitchen that operates in all weather.
