Hatch Window

The Hatch Window is a small square opening with hinged wooden shutters, the kind of window found in attics, ship cabins, and woodland cottages — functional, compact, and full of character. Crafted from Small Logs and Stone, it contributes to the Structure sub-score and serves as the essential vertical detail that completes an outdoor building façade. Placed beside a Rustic Door or Large Wooden Door, it gives the surrounding Wooden Wall the visual complexity needed to read as a genuine structure rather than a flat barrier.

Small Flying-type and curious-personality Pokémon are drawn to open window features — Pidgey, Murkrow, and Swablu have all been photographed perching on the Hatch Window ledge in idle animations, occasionally peering through the opening as if checking whether anyone is home. The Hatch Window's compact size makes it easy to work into tight wall compositions where a larger window would overwhelm the façade, and its shuttered design means it reads correctly in both open and closed states without breaking the visual logic of the surrounding structure.
