Limestone

🪵

A pale, fine-grained sedimentary rock found primarily in the coastal areas of Bleak Beach and the lower elevation sections of Rocky Ridges, where ancient seabed geology has been pushed to the surface over millennia. Limestone is Pokopia's premium stone material: smoother in texture than basic Stone, capable of being worked into finer architectural finishes, and carrying a lighter, more refined visual character that distinguishes Limestone-based construction from the rougher aesthetic of standard rock.

Limestone appears in tiling recipes (particularly the Arched Tiling that requires precise shaping), structural elements that need a finished architectural look, and as a component in Concrete production. Its coastal geological origin connects it thematically to Bleak Beach, and players who develop that biome thoroughly will naturally accumulate Limestone alongside Seashells and Beach Sand in the same material-gathering passes, making it one of the most naturally integrated resources in the game's coastal loop.
