Echo Form

Echo Form is a legendary Defect rare power that causes the first card you play each turn to be played twice. At 3 energy and with the Ethereal keyword (it disappears at end of turn if not played), it requires you to play it the turn you draw it or else lose it. Once active, however, Echo Form doubles your best opener every single turn — doubling a Frost Orb channel gives double Block, doubling an attack doubles damage, doubling a power doubles its activation. The value compounds across the entire fight.

Echo Form's best targets are high-value first plays: a big damage attack like All for One, a power like Electrodynamics, or a multi-hit attack. It has incredible synergy with cards that already have built-in multi-hit effects. Multiple copies of Echo Form stack, each triggering on successive first plays. The Ethereal drawback is the main limitation, as you must draw and play it in the same turn, often requiring you to hold it. Upgraded, Echo Form loses Ethereal entirely, transforming it into a consistent permanent effect rather than a conditional one.
