Neutralize

Neutralize is the Silent's zero-cost starter attack, dealing 3 damage (4 upgraded) and applying 1 Weak (2 upgraded). Weak reduces an enemy's attack output by 25%, so even though the direct damage is modest, the debuff provides real defensive value every turn it persists. Playing Neutralize costs you nothing, making it one of the few cards you're happy to see at any point in a run.

The upgrade to 2 Weak stacks is genuinely impactful — double the debuff duration means more turns of reduced damage taken. Neutralize fits naturally in poison builds, as it applies Weak before poisons land, and it pairs well with any strategy that wants to slow enemy damage. Even outside dedicated debuff builds, free damage and a debuff is a solid deal. It's one of the Silent's starting cards worth keeping throughout a run.
