Prepared

Prepared is a common Silent skill that draws 1 card and discards 1 card for 0 Energy. This is essentially a free hand filtering effect — it lets you exchange an unwanted card for a potentially better one without spending any Energy. While the net card count stays the same, the ability to smooth out bad draws is consistently useful throughout a run.

Prepared is a quiet workhorse that provides two distinct types of value. As a filter, it helps avoid being stuck with dead cards. As a discard trigger, it activates synergies with Tactician (gain 1 Energy when discarded), Reflex (draw 2 cards when discarded), and Sneaky Strike (refund 2 Energy if you've discarded this turn). Upgraded, it draws 2 and discards 1, making it a genuine draw-positive card and significantly improving its value across all contexts.
