Masked Bandits

Masked Bandits is an Act 2 event where a group of bandits demands all of your gold. You can choose to pay (lose all your gold but avoid combat) or fight them (a combat encounter against multiple bandits, but keep your gold if you win). Fighting the Masked Bandits is a combat encounter against two Act 2 enemies.

The Masked Bandits decision depends on how much gold you currently have and how strong your deck is. If you have substantial gold and a confident deck, fighting to keep it is usually worth the risk. If you have little gold or are worried about the combat encounter draining HP, paying might be acceptable. Combat victory rewards include potential gold drops, but the fight itself can cost HP. Generally, decks strong enough to handle Act 2 elite encounters should fight the bandits.
