Upgrade Shrine

Upgrade Shrine is a shared event (appearing in Acts 1-3) consisting of a mysterious shrine that randomly upgrades one card in your deck. You have no choice in which card gets upgraded — it is selected at random from all cards in your deck. The upgrade is permanent and provides the same effect as a Campfire upgrade.

Upgrade Shrine is generally a positive but unreliable event. In decks with many important cards, the random upgrade is likely to hit something valuable. In decks where only a few specific upgrades matter, there is a chance the random selection misses key targets. Overall, any free upgrade is better than nothing, making Upgrade Shrine a welcome encounter. It is particularly strong early in a run when any upgrade meaningfully improves a small deck.
