Scry

Scry is a mechanic that allows the player to look at the top X cards of their draw pile and optionally discard any of them. Cards that are not discarded remain on top of the draw pile in their original order. Scry does not put cards into the hand — it only previews and filters the upcoming draws.

Scry is a signature mechanic of The Watcher, appearing on many of her cards and her starting relic (Pure Water adds a Miracle card which can facilitate Scry setups). It enables powerful deck manipulation by removing unwanted cards from the top of the deck before drawing. Scry synergizes with mechanics that care about specific cards being drawn or discarded, and is especially strong for thin decks where the order of draws matters. The Nunchaku and other draw-care relics can benefit from Scry-enabled draw optimization.
