Dead Branch

Dead Branch is a rare relic that adds a random card to your hand every time you Exhaust a card. This turns Exhaust into a card-generation engine: instead of simply removing cards from play, each Exhaust immediately replaces itself with a new random card drawn from the full card pool. The added card costs its normal amount.

Dead Branch is one of the most powerful rare relics in the game for exhaust-focused builds. Each exhaust generates a new card, which can itself be exhausted to generate another, creating chains of card generation that can provide unlimited resources in a single turn. On the Ironclad's exhaust archetype, Dead Branch combined with Offering, Sentinel, and other exhaust sources can generate game-winning infinite resource loops. It also pairs with Charon's Ashes (3 damage per exhaust), creating AOE damage from every card in the chain.
