Crow's Wing (Ability)

✨

Crow's Wing as an active combat ability — distinct from the glider equipment of the same name — is an aerial attack skill in Kliff's Health skill tree that drops him from height onto a target below with lethal momentum, dealing high physical damage and creating a significant impact radius that staggers surrounding enemies. It is unlocked as a companion ability to the glider's traversal function, transforming the aerial mobility the Crow's Wing equipment provides into an offensive option.

The ability activates from any elevated position — a jump, a platform edge, the peak of a glide — and initiates a rapid downward strike that gains damage multiplier based on the height of the drop. Longer falls produce higher damage, incentivizing Kliff to gain as much elevation as possible before committing to the dive. Against standard enemies, even a modest height drop produces a one-shot on most standard enemy types; against bosses, the damage multiplier makes Crow's Wing one of the highest single-hit damage options available.

The impact radius means Crow's Wing is also effective against enemy groups positioned below the drop point — the shockwave on landing staggers all enemies in a short radius, creating a follow-up window that a lightning or fire ability can exploit before the enemies recover. Players who position themselves above a clustered group, activate Crow's Wing, and immediately follow with Lightning Surge will find the combination devastating against camp assaults.

The ability has a situational limitation that experienced players plan around: it requires elevation to use, and not all combat situations provide conveniently elevated terrain. Players who incorporate Crow's Wing into their regular rotation develop a habit of looking for elevation opportunities before engaging — using terrain features, structures, and Abyss platforms as launch points. This habit of reading terrain for combat advantage is one of the skills that Crimson Desert rewards most consistently across all of its systems.
