Crossing Gate

🎒

The Crossing Gate is a striped barrier arm that lowers across a path when a train or vehicle approaches — or in habitat terms, sits permanently in the lowered position as an infrastructural detail that signals controlled movement and organised transit. Crafted from Iron Ingots and Small Logs, it contributes to the Structure sub-score and is essential for completing the visual logic of a Railway Track crossing — without a Crossing Gate where the track meets a path or road, the installation feels unfinished. Its red-and-white stripes add a point of strong Colour that benefits environments targeting the Colour sub-score alongside their industrial build.

Pokémon with procedural or pattern-following behaviour — Porygon, Magnemite, Metronome-users — are drawn to Crossing Gate placements, apparently finding the regular geometry and clear operational logic of the gate reassuring. The Crossing Gate pairs naturally with a Sign and Harbor Streetlight on either side of a Railway Track crossing to create a well-lit, well-marked transit point that improves both the aesthetic and the navigability of a larger industrial-area build.
