Perch

The Perch is a simple T-bar post of smooth wood, designed to give Flying-type Pokémon a designated landing and resting point at a human-friendly height. Crafted from Small Logs and a Sturdy Stick, it is functionally minimal — a single standing post with a horizontal bar — but its effect on avian Pokémon behaviour is significant. Placing a Perch in an open area of your habitat increases the likelihood of Flying-types choosing to stay rather than simply pass through, and pairing multiple Perches at varied heights creates a layered roosting environment.

Peakychu is known to occupy any available Perch in a habitat within minutes of one being placed — it has a territorial relationship with elevated roosting spots that borders on compulsive. Beyond single-species attraction, the Perch contributes to the Nature sub-score of your environment, signalling to the game's ecosystem simulation that your island can support aerial life. It pairs especially well with a Wooden Birdhouse nearby, which provides the enclosed shelter that nesting species need in addition to the open Perch that scouts and sentinels prefer.
