Straw Bed

A Straw Bed is exactly what the name suggests: a sleeping surface woven from large, flat leaves. It's the humblest piece of furniture in Pokopia's crafting catalog — two Leaves, five minutes of effort — and also one of the most important. Pokémon need somewhere to rest, and a Straw Bed tells them that the space has been prepared with them in mind.

Crafting

Recipe: 2× Leaf. Requires a Workbench. Leaves are obtained by using Leafage or Cut in vegetated areas, so a Straw Bed is one of the first meaningful furniture items available once you have both Cut (Scyther) and a Workbench.

Placement and Use

Straw Beds contribute to a habitat's comfort rating when placed in or near it. Pokémon who favor a particular habitat type will prioritize areas that include resting spots. In practical terms: if you want a specific Pokémon to actually stay in a habitat rather than just visit, furniture like the Straw Bed increases the odds. It's a small gesture, but the island runs on small gestures.
