Wooden Fencing

🎒

Wooden Fencing is a lower open-rail barrier — waist-height, slatted, and semi-permeable — that defines a boundary without fully enclosing or blocking sightlines. Crafted from Small Logs and Sturdy Sticks, it contributes to the Structure sub-score and carries the pastoral warmth of a farm or cottage garden perimeter. Unlike a Wooden Wall, fencing invites Pokémon to lean over, peek through, or hop across it; the barrier is more symbolic than physical, suggesting a boundary that is respected rather than enforced.

Normal-type and Grass-type Pokémon with gentle temperaments — Skiploom, Clefairy, Togekiss — are frequently photographed sitting on or peering over Wooden Fencing in idle animations. The fence pairs naturally with a Wooden Gate for a complete enclosed garden perimeter, and lines of Wooden Fencing along a Wooden Path create a classic lane or country-road visual that is one of the most universally liked outdoor compositions in the game. For high-density botanical environments, running Fencing around the perimeter of a Garden Flowers and Planter zone defines the area as deliberately tended rather than incidentally overgrown.
