Wooden Gate

🎒

The Wooden Gate is a hinged double-panel entry point scaled to match Wooden Fencing or Wooden Walls, designed to mark the formal threshold between outside and inside a defined habitat zone. Crafted from Small Logs and Sturdy Sticks, it contributes to the Structure sub-score and carries significant atmospheric weight: a gate says that the space beyond it is intentional, prepared, and worth entering. Placed at the end of a Wooden Path flanked by Wall-Mounted Flowers or Harbor Streetlights, a Wooden Gate transforms an undifferentiated outdoor area into a proper destination.

Pokémon registered as regular visitors to a habitat will use the Wooden Gate as a preferred entry and exit point in their movement animations — this gives a gated habitat a lived-in rhythm of arrivals and departures that ungated areas lack. Fairy-type Pokémon have been observed pausing at gate entrances before proceeding through, as if acknowledging the threshold. The Wooden Gate pairs with Wooden Fencing for a consistent perimeter aesthetic, or with a Wooden Wall for a more substantial fortified entry. Either way, it is the single most important structural element for giving an outdoor habitat a coherent spatial identity.
