Honey
Collected from beehives and the flowering habitats that support pollinator Pokémon, Honey is one of Pokopia's few materials with both crafting and direct Pokémon interaction applications. As a crafting ingredient it appears in food-related utility items and some decorative pieces with a natural, golden warmth to their aesthetic. As a gameplay tool, placing or offering Honey near a shy or suspicious species can make them more receptive to Ditto's approach, creating a rare material that operates in both the crafting and the social dimensions of play.
Honey is most reliably obtained by establishing and maintaining flower habitats — particularly Pretty Flower Beds and Hydrated Flower Beds — which attract the bee-adjacent Pokémon whose hive activity produces it. This makes Honey a material that is not gathered directly from the world but cultivated through good island management, which gives collecting a significant stock of it a satisfying quality: it is proof that the habitat-building is working.
