Paint

Brightly colored paint collected and produced from natural pigment sources across the island — crushed minerals, concentrated plant extracts, and processed materials that yield vibrant, durable color. Paint is Smearguru's domain above all others: the island's resident artist is its most enthusiastic consumer, and the painted murals that appear across the island as it is restored are the most visible evidence of what Paint can accomplish when applied with genuine creative intent.

In crafting, Paint appears in Signs, Paint Balloons, and any item that requires a vivid, deliberate application of color as a primary feature rather than a finishing touch. Keeping a good supply of Paint is important for players who invest in Palette Town's aesthetic development and in completing Smearguru's quests, which tend to require specific colored items placed in specific locations. A fully stocked Paint inventory is, in a meaningful sense, a measure of how seriously a player has engaged with the island's creative dimension.
