Combee

Combee is a triple-faced honeycomb bee — three faces in one hexagonal arrangement, living and working collectively. Only the female Combee can evolve, but both genders collect nectar and contribute to hive function. The honey they produce is, according to the Pokédex, extraordinarily sweet.

Role in Pokopia

Combee appears in flower habitats — Pretty Flower Beds and Hydrated Flower Beds — pollinating as they move. Their activity in flower habitats actually improves plant growth in nearby areas through pollination effects. The honey they produce occasionally attracts Chef Dente's attention, creating a minor seasonal interaction between the kitchen and the island's bee population.

Bug/Flying-type from Generation IV. One of the franchise's more commitment-intensive designs — three faces, honeycomb structure, gender-based evolution. Vespiquen, the female Combee's evolution, doesn't appear on this island, leaving Combee as a worker species without its queen present — a colony fragment, persistent and purposeful.
